I've already pointed out the absurdity of it many times. But if you can honestly watch this clip and believe in Direct/Load/Launch instead of Launched then Directed....you are a moron...or as dishonest as they come.

Swing mechanics CAN BE corrected. The #1 reason why people don't advance to desired levels CAN BE fixed. You can eliminate THE MAIN problem.....so that....you become the best you can be....and so that the only things that keep you from the highest level are your God-given physical gifts and/or your lack of heart.
It's your duty to become the best you can be. THAT is real accomplishment.
Then again, many people hope for excuses.

But the topic of discussion is the high level pattern.
I say 'high level'. They say 'sent to college'. They refuse to listen.
Every college team, DI to DIII, has players. Whoopti. THAT MEANS NOTHING to the discussion of WHAT is the high level pattern. 99% of them do not have it.
Video proves it.
And then they get all bent out of shape.
Boys....as they go up the ladder....a taller ladder than girls have....MUST have the high level pattern or they get weeded out. They live on their athletic ability....advance as far as that will take them....then hit the wall if their mechanics are poor. Players put up big numbers in college, get drafted, suddenly they can't hit. Why? Because in pro ball they are facing a former college Friday night starter EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. That hitter did not build his college stats on Friday night starters. He built his stats on the 'the run of the mill' college pitchers. Now....it's tough every single night. And without the high level pattern he fails.
Video PROVES the difference between high level and 'run of the mill'. Baseball has proven there is a swing mechanic HIGHER than the rest. The swings of Manny, Barry, Ted, Albert, AGon....are different than those of the rest.
If you're going to teach hitting....why teach what won't work down the road? Why not teach what the best do? If you teach girls....think how much better than the pack they'll be if they were taught the high level pattern.
When the fact that they teach amateur swings is pointed out, their panties get bunched up. Instead of looking at the truth....they whine and call foul....and attempt to change the subject to 'look who we put in college'.
Guess what. Someday....what they teach....will no longer put girls in college. Because the high level pattern will be taught and they will overtake those who were taught nonsense.
They can't stay focused on topic. Their ego keeps them from joining the quest. Their need to feed their ego becomes their goal....when video proves there is a problem with what they teach.
When you help a player match video you've done your job. You've eliminated the #1 reason why players don't advance. You can't do anything about their gifts....or the strength of their desire....but you can give them the tool they need to play at the highest level they are capable of.
They hand out screw drivers. I hand out cordless drills. The output difference is huge.
