The last segment regarding Ext Rotation and Int Rotation of the rear leg is total poppeycock. Horse manure. Butt crap.
Just have to point out that it is proven that he is wrong. Yet he will not admit it.

He claims External Rotation of the femur and abduction of the femur is what happens in the swing. He also says External Rotation of the femur opens the hips. If External Rotation of the femur is what opens the hips then why are Carpenters belt looks coiling instead of opening?
Notice the belt loops and his knee do the same thing. They turn rearward together. Then they turn forward together. Duh.
Is it the rear knee turning rearward a bit that causes him to make that claim? If so then why does his belt loops go the same way? Shouldn't the hips be opening? I mean, if he's externally rotating his femur shouldn't they be opening? After all, that is what he says in the video.
CLEARLY the hip coil is the cause of that knee turning rearward. The hip coil twists the leg. The belt loops AND the leg are both turning rearward. Exact opposite of what the quack claims.
The high level swing rear leg action is most definitely Internal Rotation at launch. The leg bursts through the 'hold' of the coiling rear hip causing a sudden snap when the torso laterally tilts over the ball of the femur.
Be careful who you listen to. Be careful of those who use textbooks and make false claims. Be extra careful of scientists who try to big dog you with Anatomy and Physiology terminology. Be careful of Kinesiologists who say 'the body doesn't work like that'. Um....my body does. So did Barry's. Manny's. Ted's. Mickey's. The body works in many different ways. Science explains EVERYONE'S swing. The good ones. And the bad ones. I have yet to find a scientist who can explain the high level swing properly. And we won't find one until one of them can swing in the high level pattern.
YOUR experience swinging a bat, videoing it, and comparing it side by side with a high level swing IS THE ONLY WAY TO FIND TRUTH.
Until video of your swing matches video of the high level players you have no business making claims about what is happening.
