You know the story. Late in his career he figures out the importance of 'starting earlier' and puts up huge power numbers. This began in 2010....and has continued through today....with the exception of last year when he missed quite of bit of time due to injury. Power is still there....but that average is taking a dive. Why?
He starts early......just like he said......but does he really? Does it do any good to start early but stall?
The answer is yes but no.
It won't affect his power as much as his average. When he starts early and gets a good pitch to hit....one that 'fits' within his rhythm and timing....he will drive it.
But when he starts early and has to adjust.....to speed......or location......he can't do it with any consistency.
The stall is why.
More later.

Teacherman started a blog post Jose Bautista....Hitting .250ish....There Is A Mechanical Reason.
And because of 'The Move'....he has no corner.
The ebook author can't find a corner either.
At one time....the ebook author was.....against 'The Move'.
The fact is.....he has no idea what 'The Move' does or doesn't do.
PROVEN by his love affair with Jose Bautista's mechanics.
Better yet, go back and FEEL what they are doing.
FEEL where command and control HAS TO BE....to move like they move.
Bautista controls his forward movement with his lead leg. His rear leg is pushing like a mother....and the forward move/momentum is controlled by the lead leg. He has ZERO stretch around a corner.
A professional who is very VERY ATHLETIC....while at the same time....Very VERY AMATEURISH.
Isn't this fun?
I feel sorry for Mark Hamilton.
