Straightleg and others love the reverse top hand drill.

Pick up a bat and just do that. Don't need to swing. Just get in a stance and reverse your top hand.

Feel it?

Feel the scap pinch? Automatically? As part of getting into that position?

Now.....swing.

Feel it?

The barrel is released BEFORE THE SCAP. The barrel goes into autopilot BEFORE the scap is released. The scap gets released AFTER launch.

YET......THEY DENY IT IN A REAL SWING.

They LOVE what the reverse top hand does....what it feels like....how it creates resistance for the leg to work against. The very thing it forces to happen....they love.

Yet they deny it. They REFUSE to do it the proper way. They refuse to create the same resistance (that they love in the drill) in their real swing.

And then wonder why they can't get the separation they need.

Here's a real good reason why they don't get what they need....

Now....turn your hand to normal. Pull back with your back and scap....such that you can feel THE LEG resist it. SUDDENLY....all in....with all your might....rotate your forearms to create a swiveling hand action....not a hammering hand action....to send the barrel into a rearward arc.

Guess what. Now you have that THE SAME BARREL RELEASE ACTION....that you had in the drill....that you need 'in the batters box'.

Duh.

Study up. If you do it will take you less than a week to know the Howard clan is full of shit.

Egos fall hard don't they straightleg....and sbfamily....and softballphreak....and boulderdad....and peppers....and even Howard himself.
