People working with youth batters need to understand that picking one of the many MLB approach’s can have devastating long term effects on youth batters. Anecdotal observance can have it’s drawbacks.

I can’t begin to tell you how many youth batters that chose to emulate Gary Sheffield’s begriming rhythm and could not overcome this poor approach for youth batters that I’ve had to deal with back then and even now.
Atta boy, Dirt. Show your ignorance. Use a story about Sheffield and his excessive movement, and kids inability to do THAT, to discourage kids from doing what HE REALLY DOES....underneath the hood.

There is no end to the nonsense.

Show a kid something good. He does it wrong. So what you showed him must be wrong, not the kid's interpretation.
