A little bit....very little....movement has taken place before the above still. Which is WAY before pitch release. And the hitter on the left is already set up to fail....if the high level pattern is the goal. His handset....is different....obviously. But that is MOSTLY a surface issue.
The real issue is under the hood.
And NO ONE at dfp, bbf, or bbd can see it.
It happens so early in the REAL HIGH LEVEL SEQUENCE....(as compared to after pitch release.....that the bbd farse preaches)....and it is an ABSOLUTE....that what is happening....even this early in the process....is THE SAME ACTION/LOADING/STRETCHING....that happens later.
Which makes it ridiculous to separate the two.
You'll have to feel it before you see it.
On the left....has NO CHANCE to get to the high level pattern without FIRST changing the position he gets to in this still.

The 'under the hood' is SO DIFFERENT in these two hitters WAY before pitch release....which means....those frames that they want to blow off as unimportant or insignificant.....'it's just 'gathering'.....are actually CRITICAL to the process.
