Power DOES NOT Come From The Hips
The HIPS (plural) have no connection to the barrel. All the HIPS (plural) can do is turn the torso. And it can't do that very quickly. All the HIPS (plural) can do is pull the knob.....and knob pulling can not consistently SQUARE bat and ball. Knob pulling will SLICE the ball more often than it will square it.
In order to SQUARE bat and ball....something has to turn the barrel. That something is the forearms. Pronation of the lead forearm. Supination of the rear forearm.
Power comes from quality BALL SQUARING....which comes from a quality HAND PIVOT POINT.....that sits on top of a SnF load.
Baez may need to tone it down a bit for big league consistency. But make no mistake about it.....the swivel creates his power.Tags: None

IF your radius of rotation is half the width of the pelvis....which it is when you use two legs and two hips....the rotation will pull the knob....and you'll have to push it forward....after bleeding the corner.
The only way for the TWO PIVOT POINTS to BOTH....turn the barrel....simultaneously....instantly.....is from one leg and one hip.
